We hope you enjoy your stay here in Eureka Springs,
and we hope you learn something along the way.
So many tourist destinations these days are just that, a destination and nothing more.
Eureka Springs can be different, if you want it to be.
We have a history that dates back to around 1820, and some believe beyond that.

You’ll love the scenery here just about any time of year.
Springtime in Eureka is a sight to behold.
There are flowers of every sort bloomin' all over the place!

Our summers are generally comfortable, but the humidity can be high at times.
To help combat any heat related boredom, we have two lakes and two rivers within just a few minutes of town.
The Kings river and the White river both offer canoe float trips,
and some mighty fine fishin' as well.
Table Rock lake and Beaver Lake both have boat rentals and such and
lots of places to have a good ole fashioned picnic with the family.
It is also the season for car shows, wood carving festivals, music festivals,
and many outdoor activities that one can only find here in the Ozark mountains.

Fall in Eureka has been described by some visitors as "spectacular",
with our wild array of colors
and wonderful fall weather.
This is also the season of craft fairs.
Come watch area artisans create everything from apple butter to hand stitched quilts and everything in between.

Wintertime in Eureka is fairly mild compared to most.
We do get a little snow and ice, but that only lasts for a few days at a time,
and generally late in the winter after December.
Christmas in Eureka is a quite a deal now too! Most everybody tries to outdo one another with the most unique lights or decorations, and you might even see a few carolers wanderin' the streets downtown.

We have WARM electric blankets on our carriages !

Eureka is home to one of the last few operating excursion trains in the country.
They also serve lunch and dinner on the train!
There is a drive thru animal park north of town, and a wild animal refuge down south of town for abandoned and rescued wild animals of all sorts.

We have several locations here in town that have been in "Ripley’s Believe It or Not!", in fact, our little town has been Ripley'd more times than any other town in the country.

There are endless places to get some grub around town, from homemade New York Style pizzas,
to the best Bar-B-Q in the Ozarks. There’s real good Italian and Tex-Mex for those who likes it hot all year long. There are a couple of all you can stuff yourself buffets, and even a few fast food joints for the kids.

No matter what you like to do, I’m sure you find it here in Eureka, and if you can’t find it, just ask.
There are friendly folks around every corner!
Remember, your never lost here in Eureka, you just ain’t drove far enough yet!
